Young Adults
Purpose
The young adult stage of life is so different than any other that it can sometimes feel overwhelming or lonely. You may be living on your own for the first time in a brand new location. Your schedule full of responsibilities may make it feel impossible to fully invest in a church. The big choices about life, career, relationships, and faith may leave you feeling overwhelmed. The most comforting realization is that there is an entire community of people in the exact same stage of life who can relate to all of this. Through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship we use this community of believers to grow closer and more reliant on God and to deepen our faith so that we in turn may go into the world to share that faith with others. We invite you to join this community as we encourage one another and challenge one another while participating in His blessing of this community.
Bible Class - Join us every Sunday morning at 9:00 am in room A-112 to study God’s word together.
Community Group - We meet on Thursdays at 7:30 pm to deepen the connections through fellowship and to spend time studying on topics that are particularly relevant to our group. We meet up at the building in room A129-130 to spend time looking at what it really means to be followers of Christ in our everyday lives. Sometimes we spend this time serving other members of the church or people in the community around us. This informal setting is a great way to get plugged in and we would love to have you join us!
Fun - At Brentwood Oaks we believe that spiritual transformation occurs not only during the deep discussions and big moments, but also in everyday life. Because of this, we gather together as often as possible to enjoy the blessing of friendship and take advantage of all the fun that Austin has to offer. As we strengthen our relationships with one another we recognize that God’s presence doesn’t just come over us as we cry out to Him in times of trouble, but is ever present in the times of laughter, the heartfelt victories, and all of the little moments in between. As we grow in our faith together, we continuously witness the blessing of Christ-centered friendships as we enjoy each other’s company.
