Village Christian Apartments was built in the late 1970s by Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ in partnership with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in order to provide affordable housing for elderly people 62 years and older. Members of Brentwood Oaks host a weekly worship service at VCA. In addition, several groups from Brentwood Oaks are involved at VCA including the youth group, the chorus, Trail Life, Brentwood Christian School and some of the home groups.
