Have you ever thought about what it would be like to live in poverty? For some, it has been a reality. For others, it is the furthest thing from our minds.
On September 9, Brentwood Oaks is hosting the COPE seminar. COPE stands for “Cost Of Poverty Experience”. From 9 am to noon that day in our FLC, we will participate in discussions and activities to help us understand what it means to be someone who lives in poverty. The aim is to help us understand, walk alongside, and help those in our community living in poverty. We will work towards deepening our understanding, developing practices/approaches with a lasting impact, engaging in meaningful & authentic ways, and bringing restoration to our community.
God continues to give us the opportunity to serve and minister in our area. Let’s continue to equip ourselves as best we can to care for those in need.
